Pontiac Solstice Features
The Pontiac Solstice key can be used for the ignition and all locks.
Your Pontiac Solstice has a Pontiac Solstice theft-deterrent system. The
key has a transponder in the key head that is electronically coded to match a decoder in your Pontiac Solstice that allows the key to start the Pontiac Solstice . If a replacement key or any additional key is needed, you must

• Adjust the Climate Control system to a setting that brings in only outside air and set the fan speed to the highest setting.
• If the Pontiac Solstice is equipped with a power liftgate, disable the power liftgate function.
Pontiac Solstice CAUTION:
Leaving children, helpless adults, or pets in a Pontiac Solstice with the windows closed is dangerous. They can be overcome by the extreme heat and suffer permanent injuries or even death from heat stroke. This feature allows the shoulder part of the belt to move freely with you under normal conditions.
